I have a few obsessions when it comes to jewelry and design - ok, three to be specific:
- cherry blossoms (i.e. my photo studio logo)
- branches (twigs, trees, etc...)
- birds

If you know me, have ever been to my home or have seen any of the jewelry I have made - you know this already...

I promise that I will try to feature other pieces of jewelry that land outside this genre.... but why try to fight an obsession?

This ring is a little bit out of my range, but totally gorgeous. You can't beat the combination of the classic Llardo smooth finish porcelain with a natural looking twig base...

Story Jewelry is part style guide, part education, a little shameless-self-promotion (I'll be posting my own designs for feedback!) and a great resource for finding jewelry that is a little off of the beaten path. Our focus will be on pieces that are made from natural materials - any metals, gemstones, semi-precious stones, leather, etc... Not that we have a problem with plastic, bakelite or other materials, but jewelry can be so diverse, we would just like to be able to keep a little bit of focus...

Most of the content of this blog will be handmade items, like those found on Etsy. I'm amazed every day by the enormous amount of talent these designers have. We'll be posting several items from around the net that we feel are unique and covetable!
